SellUp · who does the work, and what it costs

The team and the rate

Two people, USD 20 per hour, one rate for every discipline. This is the only page that carries money — the five documents it accompanies are effort only, on purpose.

The rate
USD 20 per hour, flat. Back end, front end, QA, research, content and outreach are all charged at the same rate, so the discipline split in the estimates changes who does the work, never the price.
The engagement
48–79 h$960–$1,580. The part we can commit to today is 34–55 h$680–$1,100.
Who
Giap Ha — full-stack, carries back end and front end.
Chien Nguyen — QA, and SEO expert: research, content and outreach. He carries the growth programme on that second hat.
Who carries which group
The engagement and the portal module are the two of them together — 48–79 h and 57–97 h of engineering and QA. The growth programme is Chien alone, working as the SEO expert: 124–213 h of research, content and outreach, and not one of those hours is added into the engagement.
Hours are the estimate
Every figure here is the hour band × $20, nothing more. If a band moves at discovery, the money moves with it by the same arithmetic — there is no separate pricing judgement to renegotiate.
Our rate
$20 per hour · USD
One rate across all six disciplines in these estimates — back end, front end, QA, research, content and outreach. We do not price seniority bands or charge a premium for the harder disciplines, which means the estimates you have already read need no adjustment to become a cost — multiply the hours by twenty.

Who does the work

Two people and three hats. Every discipline in the estimates maps onto one of them, so you can see who carries which hours and which groups they belong to.

2 people

The team

A 48–79 h · C 124–213 h · never added together
Giap Ha
Full-stack · BE + FE
Carries both engineering disciplines: the Next.js templates and routing work and the Express service and data layer work. On the engagement that is BE 16–26 h plus FE 25–41 h41–67 h, or $820–$1,340. Because one person holds both sides, the front-end and back-end seam that splits the estimate into two tiers is a scheduling question here, not a handover between suppliers.
Chien Nguyen
QA · SEO expert
Two hats, and they belong to different groups. As QA he owns the test matrix, the verification crawl and the evidence pack — the part that turns "we built it" into something you can check. On the engagement that is QA 7–12 h$140–$240. QA and SEO are the whole of this role: there is no project-management line against this name, and no PM hours are billed anywhere in these estimates. Coordination and status reporting still happen — the team absorbs them.

As the SEO expert he carries the whole growth programme — all fourteen of group C's items, across all three of its disciplines: RES 38–63 h, CON 57–101 h, OUT 29–49 h. That is 124–213 h, or $2,480–$4,260, at the same $20. This is the hat that makes group C staffable at all: keyword and competitor research, the baseline report, category and guide copy, the digital-PR concept and the outreach itself are not back end, front end or QA, and putting them on a developer would mean paying developer time for a job somebody else does better and faster. None of those hours belong to the engagement — group C is agreed separately, a group at a time.
The engagement is still 48–79 h. 41–67 plus 7–12 is 48–79 h — the two of them, no third party, no unallocated hours. Chien's 124–213 h of SEO work sit entirely outside that figure and are never added into it; they exist only if you buy the group they belong to. Worth saying plainly: group C is two to four times the size of the engagement in hours, and it lands on the same person who holds QA — so if you take A and C together, the two run in sequence, not in parallel, and we will tell you the schedule that implies before you sign anything.

124–213$2,480–$4,260Chien · separate agreement
The C line is four estimates, and none of these lines is added to another. Group C is bought a group at a time — at $20/h that is $480–$800 for research, $1,040–$1,840 for content, $740–$1,260 for off-page and $220–$360 for measurement. Each is agreed or declined on its own, and a combined figure would be misleading in all three directions. If A and B both go ahead, that is 105–176 h$2,100–$3,520 — but it is two agreements, sequenced, not one project.

What the rate does and does not include

In the $20
Implementation, back end and front end
QA, the verification crawl and the evidence pack that proves the work is correct
Coordination, decision rounds and status reporting — absorbed by the team, and there is no PM line to bill
The handover document and the implementation record
The scan, the estimate and the five documents you are reading — already done, not charged
Not in the $20
Third-party costs — hosting, tooling licences, paid placements. None are required for scope A.
Research, content and outreach — Chien covers them at the same $20, but they are group C and not in the engagement you are agreeing
Ongoing maintenance or a retainer after handover
Payment terms, invoicing schedule, currency of settlement and any taxes — still to agree
The payment schedule is deliberately not on this page. A rate and a schedule are different conversations, and we would rather agree the scope first — this page exists so the hours you have already read can be turned into a number, not to present terms.
